Vice President
Nathan Mulder
Student Representative 2006-2009
Nathan Mulder joined Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2005 as an
undergraduate student to pursue a degree in Aeronautics. He currently
serves as Vice President of the Student Government Association guiding
the Student Representative Board (SRB). Prior to being elected Vice
President, Nathan served as his fraternities' Rush Chairman and
Brotherhood Chair, Captain on the Orientation Team, Peer Mentor for
UNIV101 College Success, and Morale Chair for Up'til Dawn, helping to
raise money for St. Jude Research Hospital. He also served the SGA as
SRB Vacancy Chairman, Flight Line Satisfaction Committee chair, and
Admissions Liaison.
During his time on SRB, Nathan has worked on many things, adding lockers
to the College of Aviation Phase II Flight Line and working with the
flight department to bring a golf cart to the flight line for student
transportation. He also has been the liaison to the Admissions
department, fixing any issues brought to his attention by students. He
worked with his committee to create outstanding College of Aviation
Student Forums each semester. Nathan prides himself on protecting the
students of Embry-Riddle, and listening to their concerns.
In addition to his work with Student Government, Nathan is still an
active member in his fraternity, a member of Order of Omega: Greek
Leadership Honor Society, the Orientation Team, and campus tour guide at
the Admission Visitor Center. In addition to his future degree in
Aeronautics, Nathan has also continued to pursue his minors of study in
Air Traffic Control, Aviation Business, and Aeronautical Studies.
During his term, Nathan plans to assist his representatives as needed to
accomplish the projects they bring forth. Things such as a rock-climbing
wall, campus banner project, a computer lab in the student village, and
bathing suit dryers in the fitness center are all excellent ideas he
plans to pursue brought up by the SRB.
Nathan spent last summer at Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center in
Longmont, Colorado where he worked as a Traffic Management Operations
Trainee. He hopes to return to Denver ARTCC summer of 2009 for another
internship and after he graduates in the Spring of 2010.
