BANNER POLICY CONTRACT


  1. The purpose of hanging a banner in the student center is to advertise a legitimate event that is sponsored by your organization. The focus of your banner must be a specific event, along with the date, time, and location of the event. The theme of your banner must be relevant to the event.
  2. Banners submitted to be picked up by an organization are not required to advertise an event; however they must adhere to the content standards listed below.
  3. Any banners submitted with themes or content deemed inappropriate by the SGA Office will not be printed and the organization will not have the opportunity to resubmit a banner. The organization will lose the privilege of hanging a banner in the Student Center for that week.
  4. Banners cannot depict, promote, imply, or otherwise contain any of the following items:
    • Alcohol
    • Sex/Nudity/Sexual Innuendo
    • Racism
    • Hazing
    • Guns/Firearms
    • Copyright Infringement
    • Be derogatory towards or make fun of others
  5. Banner space is limited to one banner per organization per week.
  6. Banners for the Student Center are hung on Sundays only and will not be hung throughout the week.
  7. Banners to be hung in the Student Center must be submitted to dbbanner@erau.edu no later than Thursday at 5pm. Any banners received after this deadline will not be hung for that week.
  8. After the second violation of banner policies and procedures banner privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the semester.
